Short Synopsis (for press use)

In the summer of 1953, a charismatic young preacher named Elias Beaumont Cole arrives in rural North Carolina for a revival, captivating the community with his magnetic presence. Among those drawn to him are six of the eleven Favors sisters, each believing she alone holds a special connection with him. When Cole leaves, he leaves behind promises — and children whose true parentage will be hidden for nearly sixty years. Decades later, a grandchild who has lived his entire life under the wrong surname receives a phone call that unravels everything, sending him back to the Carolina piedmont to piece together the truth before the last woman who knows the full story takes it to her grave.
